About Our Firm

Maloy & Jenkins is a small, specialized firm whose practice is limited to criminal defense. Both partners have over 20 years experience trying criminal cases of all kinds.

Our primary work in recent years has been in complex business-related federal litigation, both trial and appellate. Over the past several years, both partners have been involved, as both lead counsel and counsel for key corporate officers in major prosecutions involving healthcare fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, racketeering, labor election violations, SEC violations, municipal bond fraud, and related cases.

Maloy & Jenkins also represents citizens accused of state criminal charges, primarily murder or fraud-related charges, on a selective basis. We have been involved in pro bono death penalty litigation since 1978.

Partner Bruce Maloy is also actively involved in international law, and has considerable expertise in extradition matters, both domestic and foreign. Partner Jim Jenkins has considerable expertise in litigating complex criminal appeals before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as post-conviction proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Both partners are adjunct professors of law. Jim Jenkins teaches Advanced Criminal Litigation at Georgia State University School of Law. Bruce Maloy teaches International Criminal Litigation at Emory University School of Law.
