Mr. Rotella's experience, knowledge and expertise in the field of criminal defense has been recognized by his designation as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court.

A Certified Criminal Trial Attorney is more than just an attorney who specializes in a particular area of the law. A Certified Criminal Trial Attorney is a designation granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who are able to demonstrate the highest levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in Criminal Trial Practice.

This Certification program was created by the New Jersey Supreme Court to enable the public to find a recognized expert in the field of criminal trial law. The Supreme Court, through the Board on Attorney Certification, designates only the attorneys who are able to meet the standards set by the Board, pass the examination and who are approved by the Court. Out of the approximately 71,000 attorneys licensed to practice in New Jersey, there are only about 90 criminal defense attorneys who are Certified Criminal Trial Attorneys.


BOARD CERTIFIED IN CRIMINAL TRIAL ADVOCACY

Mr. Rotella also holds the designation of a Board Certified Criminal Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). The NBTA is accredited by the American Bar Association to certify attorneys in the area of criminal trial advocacy. The NBTA has established objective standards and criteria by which to measure the experience and expertise of an attorney knowledgable enough to be granted the designation of Board Certifid Criminal Trial Specialist.

This designation shows the dedication of the attorney in achieving and maintaining the highest standard of skill, which levels the playing field for those clients who find themselves the target of the massive resources of a governmental prosecution.
